Private Tutoring

I chose this picture very deliberately for this section. I've been snapped on a return visit to my old teacher training college, St Peter's, Saltley, Birmingham, which is where I trained to be a teacher and qualified as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in the summer of 1978. This is why I offer my services as a private tutor today.

My main subject (and passion) is History and I am happy to tutor this right up to 'A' Level.

I am also able to teach English, Humanities and Maths to younger children.

I also teach adults who've missed out on some education in the past and now want to catch up.

My lessons are generally for one hour with fees negotiable,  depending on age, subjects required, whether homework is required and distance to be travelled. Once a fee is agreed there are no hidden extras. If any additional materials are needed, e.g. workbooks, I will provide these.

I am happy to tutor anywhere in Christchurch and Bournemouth and possibly further afield depending on distance.

I am a dedicated tutor who obtains satisfaction from helping adults and children to improve. I also have a fun approach to learning, as it is a fact that people learn more when they are enjoying what they are doing.

I had a Criminal Records Check completed in July 2012.

My teaching qualification and Criminal Records Check can be inspected.
